Maria Ott has extensive experience in scientific coordination and laboratory management, currently serving as the Scientific Coordinator at Max Planck Schools since August 2017. Prior to this role, Maria worked as a Lab Manager at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems from October 2013 to August 2017 and held the position of Research Associate at the University of Heidelberg for a brief period in 2013. Maria's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology with a focus on Molecular Medicine from the University of Vienna and a Bachelor's degree in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences. Additionally, Maria has completed internships at the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology in Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna, and conducted a Bachelor thesis on marine bacteria as a sustainable source for anti-infective substances.
