Haakon Erichsen is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and development. Currently serving as VP of Software Engineering, Experiences at Matterport since January 2014, Haakon manages frontend-focused engineering teams across various platforms including Web, 3D, VR, iOS, and Android. Previous roles include Senior Director of Engineering and Chief Software Architect at Matterport, along with a consulting position specializing in WebGL and 3D graphics at Arctic Lightworks. Haakon's earlier experiences include internships and roles at Bekk Consulting, Elkem Energi Handel, and Orkla Finans Commodity Trading, as well as teaching assistant positions at NTNU while completing a degree at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology from 2008 to 2013.
