Chamarra A. O. C. has extensive experience in mathematics education, currently serving as a High School Mathematics Teacher at the NYC Department of Education and as a Math for America Emeritus since August 2021. Previously, Chamarra taught mathematics at The Curaçao American Preparatory School and Victory Collegiate High School, instructing various courses including AP Statistics, Pre-Calculus, and Algebra. Chamarra has also contributed as a Mathematics Teacher with Math for America, focusing on professional development, while serving in roles such as advisor and grade team leader to enhance student support. Chamarra holds a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Rochester.
