Asa Markel is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in commercial law, litigation, and business development. Currently serving as Chair of the Distribution & Sales Practice Group at Masuda, Funai, Eifert & Mitchell, Ltd. since January 2017, Asa oversees commercial law matters and drives business initiatives. Asa has been a Principal at the same firm since February 2012, focusing on commercial litigation, business law, transportation law, and customs law. Previous roles include Senior Editor at Law of Tea.com, where research and writing on legal trends in the global tea trade were conducted, and Attorney at Cammarano Law Group, specializing in shipping litigation and international trade. Asa began the legal career as an Associate Attorney at Shorall McGoldrick Brinkmann and holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in History from Northern Arizona University.
