Senior Software Engineer at MasterClass

Lucas Hauptmann de Almeida has a diverse and extensive work experience. Lucas is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer at MasterClass since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Auvik Networks Inc. from 2019 to 2022 as a Software Developer, where they maintained the company's public API and implemented a microservice for usage data access. Lucas also wrote scripts for customer usage data processing, which directly impacted customer billing.

Before that, Lucas worked at Zebu Infrastructure Online from 2015 to 2019 as a Software Developer and Founder. In this role, they implemented proof-of-concept (POC) projects for ride-sharing mobile and web applications with real-time updates and live maps for drivers. Lucas also developed an end-to-end encrypted ERP solution with communication, calendar, and file sharing modules.

From 2013 to 2015, Lucas was a Software Developer at Lakes Environmental Software. Lucas developed internal tools for automating environmental data analysis and processing. Additionally, they created web-based applications for data visualization, importing, and exporting, utilizing technologies such as Python and C#.

Lucas began their career as a Software Developer at FUNTEF-PR, where they worked from 2011 to 2012 as part of the Supply Control and Operational Logistics Project funded by Petrobras. In this role, they wrote algorithms for calculating time-to-move and time-to-mix petroleum products in a pipeline with variable storage. Lucas also developed front-end code for displaying tank capacity charts during product transport.

As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UTFPR from 2010 to 2011, Lucas prepared materials and conducted seminars on basic programming concepts for first-year students. Lucas also created materials for public school teachers about using open-source office software and designed the architecture for an open-source document repository for the research group.

Lucas Hauptmann de Almeida's education history is as follows:

Lucas pursued their Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, attending from 2018 to 2021. Alongside this, they also completed a Graduate Certificate of Completion in Business and Entrepreneurship at the same university within the same duration.

In 2012 and 2013, Lucas embarked on a non-degree program in Mathematics, focusing on Computer Science at the University of Waterloo.

Prior to their studies in Canada, Lucas earned their Bachelor of Information Systems degree in Information Technology from the Federal University of Technology - Parana, where they studied from 2009 to 2014.

Additionally, Lucas has obtained several certifications to enhance their skillset. Lucas completed courses such as "Accelerate Your Developer Career," "Tech Career Skills: Getting Promoted," "Using Brain Science to Find Your Calling," and "What is Graphic Design?" through LinkedIn in January 2022. Lucas also completed courses on Agile Software Development, Kanban, Scrum Master, and Scrum Basics in 2021, through the same platform.
