James Rickman is an accomplished editor and writer with extensive experience in the publishing and media industries. Currently serving as an Editor at MasterClass since August 2021, Rickman has previously held significant editorial roles including Executive Editor at Playboy Enterprises, where responsibilities ranged from managing Playboy.com to editing magazine copy and producing a special tribute edition after Hugh Hefner's death. Other notable positions include Managing Editor at Paper Magazine, Multi-instrumentalist with various indie bands, and editorial positions at Black Balloon Publishing and Warner Books Inc. Rickman holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School and a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
