Cynthia Trapp, MS, FHFMA, FACMPE, CPCO, CPC, CRC, CPC-I, CHC, HRMC, serves as the Director of Coding for the Mass General Physician Organization at Massachusetts General Hospital since September 2012, overseeing coding operations and focusing on leadership, process improvement, and regulatory compliance. As the Licensed and Certified PMCC Coding Instructor at The Trapp Group since April 2004, Cynthia has developed and taught comprehensive medical coding certification programs and offers consulting services on compliance and coding concepts. Prior roles include Director of Professional Coding and Coding Education at Lahey Clinic, where Cynthia led projects on coding and charge capture, and positions in healthcare consulting, education, and practice management across various organizations. Cynthia holds a Master of Science in Leadership with a Health Management concentration from Northeastern University and has extensive experience in healthcare education and coding.
