Gerard Doherty, MD, currently serves as Surgeon-in-Chief at Mass General Brigham Cancer and Brigham and Women's Hospital while also holding the position of Moseley Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Previously, Gerard Doherty was Utley Professor and Chair of Surgery at Boston University School of Medicine and held various leadership roles, including NW Thompson Professor and Chief of General Surgery at the University of Michigan Health System. Gerard Doherty's medical training includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Yale School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross.
