Chris Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Chris started their career as a Teaching Assistant at Oklahoma State University in 1993 and then went on to work as a Graduate Engineer at Purdue University from 1997 to 2000. Chris then joined SRI International as a Senior Research Engineer, where they worked for over a decade from 2000 to 2013. Following that, they served as a Senior Engineering Manager at Verayo from 2013 to 2014.

In 2014, Chris joined Mastercard as a VP/Business Leader/Developer Program Engagement Manager, where they played a key role in building the next generation of Mastercard. Chris developed and evangelized MasterCard products, facilitated feedback from external sources, and supported the onboarding of new services and products. After leaving Mastercard in 2016, Chris joined Early Warning as a Senior Director of Development Project Management until 2019.

In 2019, Chris's career took him to Envestnet | Yodlee, where they held the position of Senior Director DevX | API | Dev Portal until 2020. During this time, they contributed to the development and management of technology products and platforms.

Chris also has a strong affiliation with Masons of California, where they served as a Senior Grand Deacon from 2018 to 2019 and later as the Chief Technology Officer from 2019 onwards. Additionally, they worked as both a Chief Technology Officer and Trustee at Masonic Homes of California from 2019 to 2020.

Chris Smith attended East Central University from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics. Chris then pursued further education at Oklahoma State University from 1993 to 1996, earning a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. Chris continued their academic journey at Purdue University from 1996 to 2000, where they completed a PhD in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering. Later, from 2001 to 2003, they attended Stanford University and attained a Certificate in Management Science & Engineering.
