Juan Camilo Benítez García has held a variety of roles in the professional world since 2008. Juan Camilo began their career as a Futuro Profesional at Grupo Bolivar SA, where they received training in the Vicepresidencia Jurídica of Banco Davivienda and supported activities related to Banca Personal. In 2009, they joined Davivienda as an Abogado Departamento Jurídico de Gobierno Corporativo y Cumplimiento Normativo, where they implemented measures of good corporate governance and advised and participated in the development of major contracts. In 2012, they joined Solidda Group as Secretario General, where they achieved an increase in sales of 1299% and an optimization of resources and cost management that increased the EBITDA from 9% to 23%. In 2013, they became a Rooms Supervisor at Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel & Residences and a Diver at Devocean Dive Centre. Juan Camilo also volunteered with Lively Minds in Bolgatanga, Ghana, where they trained local mothers in early childhood education and implemented schemes to encourage reading as a learning tool in local schools. In 2014, they became a Facilitador de Procesos de Educación in Bluefields and joined Selina as a General Manager and Operations Manager. In 2021, they became Director de operaciones and General Manager at Masaya Experience.

Juan Camilo Benítez García obtained their degree in Law from Universidad del Rosario in 2010. In 2021, they completed a Distribution, Revenue and Demand Management degree from ESSEC MSc in Hospitality Management (IMHI). In 2020, they also obtained a Post Crisis Hospitality Management Certificate from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business.
