Rodrigo Contreras serves as the Global Director of Government Relations at Martinrea International since September 2022, leading initiatives within a company recognized for its innovative contributions to the automotive industry. Prior to this role, Rodrigo served as the Head of Business Development at Sericea Labs from May 2019 to September 2022. Rodrigo's earlier experience includes notable positions such as Trade & Investment Commissioner of Mexico in Toronto and Trade Commissioner of Mexico in Shanghai with Promexico, where responsibilities encompassed fostering trade relations for Mexican and Canadian businesses. Additionally, Rodrigo held the role of Strategic Investment Projects Director within the State Government of Baja California, Mexico. Rodrigo holds a degree in International Business from CETYS Universidad, received between 1994 and 1998.
