Joseph Dean is an experienced actuary currently employed at Martello Re since July 2022. Prior to this role, Joseph served as Associate Director and Pricing Actuary at Fortitude Re from April 2018 to July 2022, focusing on new business pricing and mergers & acquisitions. Joseph also held the position of Cash Flow Testing/ALM Actuary, where responsibilities included leading the modeling and reporting of a $25 billion annuity portfolio and managing reinsurance blocks in both the US and Bermuda. Previous experience includes working as an Actuarial Analyst at Findley Davies | BPS&M and Universal Data Corporation, as well as serving as a Mortgage-Backed Securities Analyst at Two Harbors Investment Corp. Joseph's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota, complemented by actuarial studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
