Amanda Peacher is an accomplished Senior Acquisitions Editor at Marketplace by APM, specializing in acquiring and editing stories for national radio shows. With a background as an Editor and Senior Reporter at Marketplace, Peacher has extensive experience in reporting on economic issues. As an Instructor at the University of California San Diego, Peacher teaches audio storytelling and podcasting, mentoring students in producing impactful audio narratives. Previous roles include Regional Reporter and podcast host for the Mountain West News Bureau/Boise State Public Radio, Central Oregon Bureau Chief for Oregon Public Broadcasting, and an Arthur F. Burns Fellow at NPR Berlin. Peacher holds dual Master of Science degrees in Journalism: Literary Nonfiction and Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon, along with an honors degree in Writing, Music, and Environmental Studies from The College of Idaho.
