Bob Dorhout Mees holds extensive leadership experience in the insurance sector, currently serving as Managing Director at Markel Insurance SE since January 2019 and as Algemeen Directeur at Markel Nederland since November 2016. Additionally, Bob has been the Divisional Managing Director at Markel International since May 2005. Prior to these roles, Bob was the Managing Director at Schouten Insurance International B.V. for over a decade and held a similar position at International SOS from March 2001 to April 2005. Bob began the professional journey as an Account Executive at Marsh from June 1990 to March 2001. Educationally, Bob attended the Royal Agricultural University from 1987 to 1990 and Blundell's School from 1984 to 1986.
