Ryan Carroll has a diverse work experience with various companies and roles. In 2009, they joined Evolve: The Science of Search as an SEO Engineer and Account Manager, where they developed and managed key client accounts. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Co-Founder and Head of Strategy at SCORCH® AGENCY, overseeing agency operations and managing creative and engineering operations. Ryan volunteered as an Account Service Mentor at Ready & Willing, Inc. in 2014, assisting charities with their marketing efforts. Ryan then worked as an SEO & Content Marketing Manager at UniGroup, Inc from 2014 to 2017, acting as a product manager for various international transportation enterprises. As a Senior SEO Manager at Onestop Internet from 2017 to 2018, they advised the engineering team on eCommerce website migrations and managed accounts for several companies. In 2018, they joined Belkin International as a Senior SEO Manager, performing an International SEO audit and optimizing eCommerce. In 2019, they worked as a Senior Marketing Manager at Cloud Cover Music, developing a marketing plan for the streaming music start-up. Ryan is currently the Head of Growth at Markacy, a position they have held since 2019. Additionally, they have been an Adjunct Professor and Program Administrator at Webster University since 2015, where they oversee curriculum development and teaches courses on various marketing topics. Ryan also served as a Marketing Mentor on a pro bono basis at Ambii Inc. from 2020 to 2021.
Ryan Carroll has a strong educational background in various fields. Ryan completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a focus on Technical Writing, Design, and Marketing from Saint Louis University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Before that, they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts with a specialization in Graphic Design from East Central College in the years 2000 to 2001.
After their undergraduate studies, Ryan pursued a Master of Arts degree in Marketing at Webster University, which they completed from 2007 to 2010. This further enhanced their knowledge and expertise in the field of Marketing.
In addition to their formal education, Ryan has also obtained several certifications to expand their skill set. In January 2011, they became Google Adwords Certified, demonstrating their proficiency in online advertising. Two years later, in February 2014, they obtained the Inbound Certified certification from HubSpot, indicating their knowledge of inbound marketing methodologies. Finally, in March 2016, they received the Hootsuite Social Media Marketing Certification from Hootsuite Media Inc., showcasing their competence in utilizing social media for marketing purposes.
