Kelly Lemons

Assistant Administrative Director Revenue Management at Marion General Hospital

Kelly Lemons has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Kelly started their career as a Lab Scientist at Dukes Memorial Hospital in May 1998. Kelly then moved to Marion General Hospital, where they held various roles. From July 1998 to January 2016, they worked as a Lab Scientist, specifically in the area of Hematology and Chemistry Testing. During this time, they were responsible for a wide range of tasks, including CBC, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Bone Marrow Slide preparation, Chemistries, Urine Chemistries, Calibrations, Controls, CAP ordering, and documentation. Kelly also played a role in education, competency evaluation, quality control, policy and procedure writing, supply management, result verification, validation of tests, and CAP inspections for the point of care department. In January 2016, they transitioned to the position of Revenue Cycle Analyst, where they focused on revenue management. Their most recent role at Marion General Hospital is Assistant Administrative Director of Revenue Management, starting in November 2021.

Kelly Lemons obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Indiana Wesleyan University, graduating in 2013. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Indiana Wesleyan University, completing their studies in 1998. In 1994, Kelly attended Ball State University for General Studies. In terms of certifications, they obtained the HFMA's Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) from the Healthcare Financial Management Association in September 2016. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Certified Medical Laboratory Technician from the American Society for Clinical Pathology, a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative from the Healthcare Financial Management Association, a Certified Specialist in Business Intelligence from the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and a Point of Care Specialist from the American Association for Clinical Chemistry.
