Michal Bortnik is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in strategic leadership and product development. Currently serving as President of Strategy & Product and Co-Founder & CEO at Marco Polo since May 2012, Bortnik has a proven track record in entrepreneurship and innovation. Previously, Bortnik held the position of CEO at Bortnik Labs from September 2011 to April 2012 and co-founded AdNectar, where Bortnik served as Board Director from June 2008 to November 2011, focusing on scalable social advertising technology. As co-founder and CEO of Agoost from June 2007 to April 2008, Bortnik developed Internet-enabled toys to connect long-distance families. Additionally, Bortnik worked at Microsoft from August 2000 to April 2006 as Sr. Program Manager for Xbox Live, contributing to the launch of Xbox Achievements and other social gaming products. Bortnik's education includes an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in Computer Science from Harvard University.
