Jorge Sánchez, MEng, is a seasoned Technical Solutions Engineer at Maptek since August 2021, previously holding the position of Technical Service Manager at IMR Bonanza from December 2020 to July 2021. With extensive experience at Maptek as a Senior Technical Service Engineer from July 2011 to June 2019, Jorge specialized in mine design, planning, and scheduling, as well as automating engineering processes with LAVA and Python in Vulcan. Earlier, Jorge served as a Junior Surveyor/Data Manager at Barrick Gold Corporation from August 2009 to June 2011, focusing on the implementation of new survey technologies. Jorge holds a Master of Engineering in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (2013-2016) and a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Católica Nordestana (2004-2008).
