Gail Hersh, Jr. is the practice group director for the state of Kentucky and practices from MDK’s Columbus headquarters. In his role as director, Gail is the subject matter expert on Kentucky law. He oversees MDK’s Kentucky attorneys and is an active voice at industry events. Gail is a contributor to the MDK Quarterly, a publication that highlights insights and opinions into legal issues.
Gail has practiced in the areas of real estate litigation, residential and commercial transactions and foreclosures, creditors’ rights, and bankruptcy for over 25 years. Relying on this depth and breadth of experience, Gail recognizes the range potential pitfalls in various real estate transactions and the best ways to avoid them. He has also been a proponent of electronic document execution and remote notarization and has the company positioned to offer that enhanced customer experience.
Gail is admitted to practice before the state courts of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Ohio, as well as the United States District Courts for Kentucky, Indiana and the Southern District of Ohio. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and is past Chair of the Ohio Land Title Association’s Government Affairs Committee. He is also a past Chair of the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Real Estate Committee, having spent 6 years in leadership roles on the Committee. Gail is a title agent in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey, New York and South Carolina. He belongs to the Ohio Land Title Association.
Gail is a frequent seminar presenter on various real estate topics for young lawyers, general practitioners and more specialized groups of attorneys and real estate professionals. Gail obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kenyon College and his law degree from the University of Cincinnati, College of Law.
