Stu Macdonald's work experience begins in 2011, when they worked as an intern at McCann Erickson. In 2012, they had two internships, one at Barclays Capital and another at PwC. The following year, they worked as a tour guide at SANDEMANs NEW Europe Tours and as a radio DJ at Burst Radio - Bristol University Radio Station. In 2013, they also worked as a ticket agent at Just Ticket. Starting in 2014, Stu became the Director of Sales at Mil Mantecas, a social enterprise start-up, where they focused on growing the brand and organizing publicity events. In 2015, Stu joined PwC as an accountant, gaining experience in understanding the finance function of SMEs as part of their graduate program. Finally, in 2016, Stu founded their own company called ManíLife Ltd.

Stu Macdonald pursued their education with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics with Study in Continental Europe from the University of Bristol between 2010 and 2014. During their time at the university, they also had an academic exchange opportunity at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2012-2013, where they furthered their knowledge in Economics. Before their university education, Stu attended King's College School, Wimbledon from 2004 to 2009, where they completed their International Baccalaureate Diploma with an impressive score of 39 points. Stu'sIB Diploma encompassed various subjects such as Chemistry, Economics, Biology, Spanish, English, and Maths. In addition to their academic achievements, Stu Macdonald obtained a Coaching Training certification from Young Foodies in March 2021.
