JT Kane serves as the Dean of Instrumental Studies and Orchestral Performance at the Manhattan School of Music, overseeing various areas of study including brass, guitar, percussion, piano, strings, and winds, along with a Graduate Program in Orchestral Performance. Prior experience includes impactful roles at the New World Symphony as Vice President for Musician Advancement and Dean of Orchestra, where collaboration with Artistic Director Michael Tilson Thomas influenced faculty selection and Fellow development. Additional positions include Artistic Operations Administrator at ArtisāNaples, Orchestra Personnel and Popular Programming Manager at the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, and Manager of Orchestral Operations at the Aspen Music Festival and School. JT Kane's early career includes performing as a violist for the Chattanooga Symphony and Orquesta SinfĆ³nica de Xalapa, complemented by an educational background featuring a Master of Music in Viola Performance from the University of Miami School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from Harid Conservatory.
