Steve Schomer is an accomplished cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in security architecture, consulting, and operations. Currently serving as a Principal Consultant in Global Cyber Defense at Mandiant (part of Google Cloud) since July 2019, Steve focuses on SOC development, security engineering, and threat intelligence management. Prior roles include senior consulting positions at Chevron, where Steve led significant security projects and initiatives, and as a Sr. Security Engineer at Schlumberger, managing global firewall operations. Additional experience includes serving as a Sr. Security Architect at WG Mustang Engineering and a Sr. Network Security Engineer at Sysco Corporation, along with early career achievements as a Consulting Systems Analyst at American General Life Companies. Steve’s educational background includes study at the University of Houston.
