Maria Smith has extensive work experience in the legal industry, primarily focused on technology support, training, and management. Maria began their career as an IT Trainer at Munger, Tolles & Olson in 1994. Maria then worked as a Regional Trainer at Arter & Hadden LLP and a Systems Trainer at Heller Ehrman LLP before joining McDermott Will & Emery LLP. At McDermott Will & Emery LLP, Maria held various roles, including Litigation Technology Training Coordinator, Manager of IT Business Analysis & Training, and Senior Manager of IT Business Analysis & Training. Maria later served as the Director of IT Business Analysis & Training at Holland & Knight LLP before moving on to Arent Fox as the Director of Technology Support and Training. Most recently, Maria was the Senior Manager of User Support at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP and is currently the PMO & Client Services Director at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP.

Maria Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mathematics from Northwestern University, completing their studies from 1982 to 1985. Maria later obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Education from California State University, Los Angeles, attending from 2000 to 2003. In 2015, Maria received a certificate in Business Analysis from the Corporate Education Group, furthering their knowledge in this field.
