Michael Cummings currently serves as a School Board Member for Manassas Park City Schools since July 2023 and has been a Technology Education Teacher for Prince William County Public Schools since July 2018, specializing in middle school tech education with a focus on Vex V5 Robotics and woodworking skills integrated with 3D modeling. Previous roles include High School Social Studies Teacher at IDEA Public Charter School, where engaging lessons were tailored for diverse learners and a Driver’s Education curriculum was successfully implemented. Additional experience includes serving as a Special Education Teacher at Fairfax County Public Schools, where collaboration on IEPs and mentoring were key responsibilities, and teaching various subjects in settings such as the District of Columbia Public Schools and City Lights Public Charter School. Cummings holds a Bachelor of Science in Education in Social Studies from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.
