Sơn Đặng has had a long and varied career in the technology industry. Sơn began their career in 2005 as a Creative Designer at StormEye Creative Communication. Sơn then moved to ODIN COMMUNICATION AND MARKETING LIMITED in 2006 as Co-founder and Designer/Creative. In 2008, they became Design Manager at Vt Tech Corp. In 2011, Sơn Đặng founded Doda and served as Web Application Design & Developer. From 2018 to 2022, they were a Freelance and Head of Department at Edu2Review, and most recently they have been a Senior Frontend Engineer at Manabie since 2022.

Sơn Đặng completed a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Dong Nai Decoration Art between 2002 and 2005. In March 2022, Sơn Đặng obtained a University of Alberta certified of Software Architecture from Coursera. Additionally, in February 2022, Sơn Đặng obtained University of Alberta certified of Design Patterns course and Object Oriented Design course from Coursera.
