Emilio Solano

Assistant Provost For Institutional Equity at Willamette University

Emilio Solano, Ed.D., currently serves as the Assistant Provost for Institutional Equity & Community Engagement and Executive Director of Willamette Academy at Willamette University since September 2016, leading initiatives for first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students with notable success in high school graduation and college matriculation rates. Prior to this, Emilio held positions at Lewis & Clark College as an Adjunct Professor, and at Camino Nuevo Charter Academy as Assistant Principal and Teacher, contributing significantly to school organization and curriculum development. Emilio's extensive experience also includes roles with Teach For America, where management and coaching were key responsibilities. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Leadership from Lewis & Clark Graduate School, a Master's degree from Loyola Marymount University, and a Bachelor's degree from Willamette University.
