Claes Ramel has over 25 years of experience in finance and portfolio management, currently serving as Finanschef and Senior Portfolio Manager at Malmö stad since April 2016, focusing on managing the funding portfolio and interest rate risk while establishing a Green Bond Framework. Previously, Claes held the position of Finanschef at PDL Mikrofinans and served as an International Account Manager at Macrobond Financial, managing accounts for financial institutions and asset managers. Other notable roles include Senior Sales Fixed Income at Nykredit, Director for public sector origination at Depfa Bank, and Senior Sales Fixed Income at HSH Nordbank. Claes began a career in finance as a Portfolio Manager and Financial Market Analyst at Sparbanken Finn, and has academic qualifications from Stockholm University (Fil Lic in Sociology) and the University of Iowa (BBA in Economics).
