Chen Yuan, Ph.D., currently serves as the Head of Interest Rate and Credit Trading at Maybank since August 2023, while also holding lecturing positions at Nanyang Technological University Singapore and ESSEC Business School, where responsibilities include teaching and curriculum development. Prior to these roles, Chen held several significant positions including Managing Director at OCBC Bank, focusing on rates and derivative trading, and Quantitative Analyst at Deutsche Bank and OCBC Bank, developing risk management tools and pricing models. Chen's extensive experience in finance is backed by a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
