Joshua Young has over 15 years of experience in the engineering field. Joshua started their career in 2004 as an Engineering Intern for the Brownsville Public Utilities Board. In 2005, they joined Chatsworth Products as a Mechanical Engineer, where they designed new products including sheet metal, extrusions and injection molded components. Joshua also created 3D CAD models, production drawings, BOM's, manufacturing and customer installation instructions for new products. In 2016, they joined Makerarm as a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, where they designed new products and components including sheet metal, extrusions and injection molded components. Joshua also led design teams in updated Makerarm scara robot design for manufacturability, improved functionality and reduced cost. In 2018, they joined SparkCognition as a Lead Mechanical Engineer.

Joshua Young obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2005. Joshua also holds a certification in SolidWorks.
