Rob van der Zee has a diverse work experience. Rob started their career in 2008 as a Merchandiser Fresh Produce at Albert Heijn, where they were responsible for stocking, restocking, and ensuring the quality of fresh produce. In 2010, they moved to Autobedrijf Bogers B.V. as a Junior Sales Advisor and worked there until 2016.

During their time at Autobedrijf Bogers B.V., Rob was also a Graduate Research Intern at tanteLouise-Vivensis from February 2016 to July 2016. In 2013, they served as a Graduate Research Intern at Flowserve from September 2013 to March 2014.

In 2016, Rob joined Mainfreight as an European Management Trainee, a position they held until October 2019.
