Abhijeet Shillak is a Senior Research Associate at Mahyco, with a career starting in March 2015 and focusing on UAV phenotyping and mutational breeding across various crops. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Associate at the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology, where isolation of difficidin and oxydifficidin from Bacillus velezensis was accomplished. Abhijeet started as a trainee at the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB), working on the signal transduction systems of Haemophilus influenzae and Escherichia coli. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Biotechnology from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (2009-2012) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Biotechnology from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri (2005-2009).
