Heather Wingert currently serves as the Director of Major Gifts at United Way of Asheville & Buncombe County, where responsibilities include leading the individual giving strategy to align donor interests with the organization's mission. Previously, Heather held various roles at Warren Wilson College, culminating as the Director of Parent and Community Relations, focusing on donor engagement and fundraising for the WWC Annual Fund. Other notable positions include Director of Student Success, where leadership in retention strategies was emphasized, and counselor roles aimed at addressing student needs. Additionally, Heather has experience as a psychotherapist in private practice and served as Executive Director of T.H.E. Center for Disordered Eating, overseeing programs and staff. Heather Wingert earned a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
