Bill Neff has a strong background in software engineering and technical operations. Bill is currently the Senior Director of Software Engineering at Magnite, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they held various roles at iMDS - An iMedia Brands, Inc. Company, including Chief Technology Officer and VP of Software Engineering and Technical Operations. From 2012 to 2021, they were with Synacor, where they served as VP of Software Engineering and Technical Operations, Executive Director of Software Engineering, and Senior Engineering Director. Before that, they worked at Westfield Group/Westfield Insurance as the Leader of the Service-Oriented Architecture Team and Leader of Application Development and User Experience Design. Their earliest work experience was at Cisco Systems as a Software Engineer.

Bill Neff completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Cornell University from 1997 to 2001. Bill then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2003 to 2005.
