Geoff Thompson is an experienced professional in the fields of genomics and clinical laboratory management, currently serving as an Application Specialist - Genomics at Citadel Health since March 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Scientist II at Horizon Discovery, Clinical Lab Supervisor at Illumina, Team Leader at Envigo and LGC Genomics Division, and Section Head - Microbiology at ALS Food and Pharmaceutical. Significant responsibilities have included supervising laboratory teams, managing high-throughput DNA sequencing, troubleshooting and validating sequencing processes, and developing bioassays for pharmaceutical clients. Geoff holds a Master's degree in Health and Disease/Microbiology and a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Management from Birkbeck, University of London.
