Jim Cassell serves as Vice President of Information Technology at Magellan Health since February 2015, contributing to the company's leadership in managing complex healthcare areas through innovative solutions and a customer-first culture. Additionally, Jim holds the position of Advisory Board Member at ec3 Companies, a firm specializing in human resources and change management, since February 2016. Previously, Jim co-founded empowris, LLC, where a focus on enhancing workforce health was emphasized from November 2011 to January 2016, and served as Chief Information Officer for both empowris and HSM Inc., the latter acquired by Magellan Health, from January 2006 to January 2015. Jim's career in information technology began at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota and US Bank, spanning several years of management experience in operations and imaging. Jim is an alumnus of the University of Maryland.
