Matthew Belz, MBA, is a data scientist specializing in predictive analytics at Madison Gas and Electric since December 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a sports reporter and publisher for Sports Illustrated, where responsibilities encompassed covering Wisconsin Badgers athletics. Matthew has also worked as a product specialist at Sentry, developing organizational reports and analyzing large data sets to inform business decisions. Additionally, Matthew held roles as a writer and editor for SB Nation and spent nearly a decade in education as a mathematics teacher in the Madison Metropolitan School District. Matthew holds a Master of Business Administration in Data Analytics from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a focus on Mathematics and Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
