Joshua Warren Barton is a Mechanical Engineer at Prodrive, specializing in mechanic design within the Design Engineering Team since July 2021, following a progression from Junior Engineer to their current role. Responsibilities include the creation of kinematic CAD assemblies in CATIA V5, conducting packaging studies, developing project scopes, performing hand calculations, and managing engineering Bill of Materials (BoMs). Prior experience includes roles as a Race Engineer for James Kell Racing, where strategic optimization resulted in a championship win, and various leadership positions at TAU Racing, overseeing research and development, technical direction, and chassis design. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen and has contributed to academia as a Research Assistant and Demonstrator.
