Carlos Cacho is an experienced equities research analyst currently covering the Australian banking sector at Macquarie Group since September 2024. Prior to this role, Carlos served as Chief Economist & Banks Analyst for Australia at Jarden and held an economist position at UBS from September 2017 to January 2021. Carlos initially began a career in economic and market research at Colonial First State Global Asset Management, where responsibilities included advising on macroeconomic factors and managing investment insights across various asset classes. Starting as a graduate analyst at CFSGAM in February 2013, Carlos completed rotations in fixed income, credit, and global resources equities, along with an international rotation in London. Education includes a Bachelor of Economics (Liberal Studies), Economics (Hons), and Financial Economics from UNSW, where Carlos also contributed as an economics tutor.
