Damon Holmes has a strong background in RF product design and engineering spanning over two decades. Damon currently holds the role of Director of RF Product Design at MACOM since December 2023, prior to which they held a similar position at Wolfspeed from April 2022 to November 2023. Before that, they founded DirectRF in January 2021, serving as its founder until March 2022. Damon also worked at NXP Semiconductors as an Advanced Design Engineer Manager from December 2015 to December 2020. Prior to that, they held various roles at NXP after its acquisition of Freescale Semiconductor, including Advanced Design Engineering Manager, Advanced Design Technology Engineer, and RF Applications Engineer. Damon began their career at Nortel Networks in 2000 as an RF Systems Engineering Intern and later worked as an RF Power Amplifier Development engineer.
Damon Holmes holds a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary, which they obtained from 2002 to 2005. Prior to this, they completed a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at the same university from 1997 to 2002.
