Thompson Mini is a highly experienced mining professional with a career spanning over a decade in various leadership and technical roles within the mining industry. Currently serving as a Mining Manager at Macmahon since October 2023, Thompson provides technical support and leadership in Mine Technical Services and Operations. Previous experience includes roles as Superintendent Load & Haul at Northern Star Resources Limited and Managing Director at Thompson Mini Limited, where a team of mining and construction professionals was assembled to provide consultancy services. Additional expertise includes positions at Morobe Consolidated Gold Fields Ltd. and Morobe Mining Joint Ventures, focusing on drill and blast practices, mine operations management, and safety. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering from Papua New Guinea University of Technology, completed in 2009.
