Matthew Parkes is a seasoned professional in the mining industry, currently serving as a Project Manager at MACA Ltd since April 2021. Prior experience includes roles at Downer as Technical Services Superintendent, and at Atlas Iron Limited in various capacities including Mine Superintendent. Matthew's earlier positions at Macmahon involved responsibilities as Senior Production Engineer and Drill & Blast Superintendent, among others. Matthew began the career at BHP Billiton as a Mining Engineer, where duties included weekly production planning, and also held a role at BGC Contracting as Mining Engineer and Alternate Quarry Manager. Academically, Matthew holds a BEng in Mining Engineering from the Camborne School of Mines and has completed a Diploma in Front Line Management and a Certificate of competency as an Unrestricted Quarry Manager.
