Mohamed Zanaty

Co-founder and Head of Engineering at LuxNour Technologies

Mohamed Zanaty has had a varied career, beginning with a role as a Laboratory Technician at Hellenic Army in 2008. In 2010, they became a Teaching Assistant at Assiut University, followed by a Research Assistant position at imec in 2011. In 2013, they began a role as a Research Assistant at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau, where they were highly involved with the micro-fabrication of magnetic coils. In 2014, they became a Doctoral Researcher at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). In 2015, they co-founded and became the Head of Engineering at LUXNOUR TECHNOLOGIES INC. In 2019, they became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Most recently, in 2021, they began a role as a Research And Development Engineer at SiTime.

Mohamed Zanaty obtained their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Assiut University in 2005-2010. Mohamed then pursued further studies in Microsystems at KU Leuven from 2011-2013. Mohamed continued their studies in Microsystems at the EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2014-2019, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD. Mohamed also completed a program in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering at the University of Thessaly in 2008.
