Karl-Gustav Ruggeberg is a seasoned professional in the field of microbiology and project management, currently serving as Sr. Manager of Alliance Management & Projects at Lupin since November 2023. Prior to this role, Ruggeberg was with CytoSorbents Corporation for nearly eight years, initially as Senior Project Manager overseeing research projects and collaborations, and previously as Senior Research Scientist I focusing on novel therapeutic development. Ruggeberg's academic experience includes postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania, emphasizing V. cholerae infection, and research at Cornell University, where the focus was on E. coli and defective prophage gene expression. Ruggeberg holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology (Genetics and Biochemistry) from Cornell University and a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry from Bates College.
