Cristian Recabarren is an experienced mining professional with a strong background in water management and tailings systems. Currently serving as Subgerente de Relaves y Agua at Lundin Mining Corporation since January 2017, Cristian oversees the implementation of design and management of tailings storage facilities while ensuring compliance with new standards. Prior roles include Senior de Relaves y Agua and Planificador de Relaves y Agua at Freeport-McMoRan, and Supervisor de sistemas de aguas at Minera Esperanza, where responsibilities involved managing water treatment and process systems. Cristian also has a robust foundation in operations from earlier positions at CAP Mineria and empresa nacional de mineria. Cristian holds an MBA from Universitat de Barcelona and a degree in Metallurgy from Universidad de Atacama.
