Steve Raters has extensive work experience in the field of customer service and operations. Steve is currently serving as the Vice President of Customer Service Operations NA at Luminex Corporation - A DiaSorin Company since January 2022. Before this, they held the position of VP of Global Customer Support at Rapid Micro Biosystems from April 2016 to January 2022, where they were responsible for global field service, validation solutions, technical help desk, and order management.
Prior to that, Steve worked at bioMerieux for a significant period of their career. Steve served as the Sr. Director of Service Transformation - Latin America from July 2013 to March 2016, where they focused on standardization and optimization of service delivery in the Latin American region. Earlier, they worked as the Sr. Director of Commercial Applications and Engineering Support US from December 2010 to June 2013, managing a significant budget and leading a team of technical call center, field applications, and field service employees. Steve also served as the Director of Field Service Operations at bioMerieux from December 2003 to December 2010, where they were involved in global service best practices standardization and achieved high service margins.
Before joining bioMerieux, Steve worked at Organon Teknika Corp as a Sr. Field Service Engineer from January 1985 to January 1993, where they handled installation, training, repair, and maintenance of various products. Steve also contributed to the launch of the company's Coagulation product in multiple countries.
Steve Raters' career began with the US Navy, where they served as a Naval Electronics Technician (SS) E-6 from January 1979 to January 1985.
Steve Raters earned their AS degree in Electromechanical Technology/Electromechanical Engineering Technology from Three Rivers Community Technical College, where they attended from 1984 to 1985. Steve then pursued further education and obtained an MBA degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Phoenix, where they studied from 2000 to 2004.
