Jim Pickell is currently an advisor at Lumenci and has held various positions in the business world throughout their career. Jim was the President of HomeExchange.com from October 2012 to March 2017. HomeExchange.com is a leader in the Sharing Economy with over 400,000 Members in 150 countries and service in 15 languages. The company was featured in major media worldwide, with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet using HomeExchange.com to arrange their own exchange in the motion picture The Holiday.

In November 2017, Jim Pickell became the Principal of JBP Services, P.C. Jim held this position until October 2018 when they took on the role of TCA OC Fund 20 - Chair at Tech Coast Angels. In January 2016, they began working as an Adjunct Professor - Entrepreneurship at Chapman University, a position they held until March 2017.

Jim Pickell has a MBA in finance from UCLA Anderson School of Management, a JD in law from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and a BA in economics from University of California, Berkeley. Jim also has a high school diploma from Corona del Mar.
