Jessica Swanner, PhD has a diverse work experience starting in 2012 when they worked as a Graduate Student in the Cancer Biology Department at Wake Forest University. From 2017 to 2019, they served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). In 2019, they joined Susan G. Komen as a Research Grants Manager until 2020. Following that, they worked as a Medical Writer II at Health Interactions from 2020 to 2022. Currently, they are employed at Lumanity as a Senior Medical Writer and Associate Scientific Director since March 2022.

Jessica Swanner, PhD, obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cancer Biology from Wake Forest University Graduate School between 2012 and 2017. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General from Erskine College, from 2008 to 2012.
