Chad Weeks has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Chad has worked at Luffman-Byers Telecom, Inc. since 2001, starting as a Lead Installer and Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for installing, testing, provisioning, and engineering DWDM transport equipment, SONET networks, and packet optical broadband services. Chad worked with vendors such as Cisco, Cyan, Calix, Adtran, Alcatel-Lucent, Juniper, and Fujitsu.
In 2011, Chad joined Windstream, where they held various positions. Chad initially worked as a Transport Engineer II, where they were responsible for the engineering design and implementation of the Southeast Region ILEC/CLEC Network, focusing on MSTP, DWDM, and Packet Optical Solutions. Chad played a crucial role in building the Windstream backbone for FTTT in the GA market and collaborated with different teams to support customer driven circuit orders. Later, they worked as an Engineer II in Access Planning and then as an Engineer III in Planning, specializing in designing protected 10G/100G FTTT rings and customer-driven circuits across the entire Windstream network.
Chad returned to Luffman-Byers Telecom, Inc. in 2015 as the Director of Engineering & Operations. Chad had overall responsibility for deploying and designing broadband and transport networks, including DWDM, Metro Ethernet, and Mobile Backhaul services. Chad managed multiple teams involved in installation, operations, and engineering. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President, leading a team of fiber optic and broadband specialists, designing fiber and bringing broadband to all markets. Chad also oversees the work of installation and DC power plant professionals.
