Andy Hurd is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in engineering leadership, currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at Lucid Software since August 2017. At Lucid, Andy oversees the Lucidspark, Lucidchart, and Visual Activities teams, and played a key role in establishing a new product development branch in North Carolina. Andy successfully led engineering teams in launching Lucidspark and has a history of mentoring engineers and enhancing career development. Prior roles include significant contributions at ZipBooks and Lucid, where Andy developed scalable infrastructures and led teams to foster high performance. Additionally, Andy co-organized monthly talks for the Utah Scala Enthusiasts group. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Brigham Young University.
