Azat Suleimenov is an accomplished engineer currently serving on the executive team for LISA - LEAD Incubator & Startup Accelerator since April 2024. With extensive experience at Lucid Motors since May 2018, Azat leads the Powertrain Systems team, overseeing driveline efficiency and drive unit performance for the Lucid Air, recognized for its notable efficiency and range. Previous roles at Lucid included Senior Advanced Motor Technology Engineer and Powertrain Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed optimizing vehicle efficiency and designing advanced drive units. Azat's early career includes mechanical engineering work for Formula SAE - BU Racing and research positions at Boston University, Institute of Batteries, and Caltech, contributing significantly to battery technology and solar cell development. Azat holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University and is pursuing further education at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, alongside a Bachelor's degree from Nazarbayev University.
